Daedalus Teks is thrilled to announce the launch of our Free PC Clinic, a unique community initiative designed to provide invaluable hands-on experience to local college students while offering free computer repair services to the public. This collaboration between Daedalus Teks and a local college aims to bridge the gap between education and real-world experience, ensuring students are well-prepared for their future careers. Daedalus Teks was honored to certify their program a couple years ago and is excited to give back to the community while help our future technicians learn, thrive and gain experience.
What is the Free PC Clinic?
The Free PC Clinic is an innovative program where students from the college's Computer System Technician Courses volunteer to repair and service Mac computers, desktop PCs, and laptops. This initiative not only provides students with practical, hands-on experience but also offers a valuable service to the community.
How Does It Work?
- Follow & Like: The Free PC Clinic runs soley on word of mouth, be sure to Follow & Like our Daedalus teks pages on Facebook & Instagram.
- Service Availability: The Free PC Clinic will check in computers every Friday and Saturday. This schedule allows students to work on the systems during the week, with guidance and support from the experienced technicians at Daedalus Teks.
- Appointments Only on Fridays and Saturdays: To ensure quality service and manage workload, repairs at the Free PC Clinic are by appointment only. Appointments can be easily scheduled through our website or by calling us at 505-289-0522.
- Exclusions: The free repair services are for the general public only and do not include business computers OR Data Recovery.
- Availability: In cases where our Free PC Clinic schedule is booked out more than two weeks, no more appointments will be taken. However, individuals can opt to visit Daedalus Teks next door for a discounted service rate of 15%.
Support and Donations
To keep this incredible initiative running, we are accepting donations. Your contributions will help cover overhead expenses, acquire tools and equipment for the clinic, and establish paid positions for students. Your support ensures the sustainability and growth of this program, benefiting both the students and the community.

- Does Not Cover Parts/Hardware: While Our Staff/Students can offer free repair services, this does not include parts/hardware that is required to repair your system.
- Repair Limitations: We are not responsible for systems that cannot be repaired or for any additional damages that may occur during the repair process.
- Potential Delays: Our students are interns, which means repairs might take longer than at other PC repair shops. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
- Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to refuse free PC repair to anyone at our discretion.
